-Under federal law 8 U.S.C § 1611, undocumented immigrants are ineligible of nearly all federal public benefits, including Medicaid (non-emergency), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplementary Security Income, and most housing programs.(Government Publishing Office, 1996)
-In 2022, undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes. Based on wage and population growth data, the Bureau of Labor projects this number to be an estimated $108.3 billion for 2024.
