Embodied
The back and forth of building up and taking away–the painting, sanding, and scraping–is a gratifyingly physical and unplanned journey. In this series, incorporating a sensitively rendered figure into a non-specific, often gritty, timeworn surface gives voice to embodied feelings related to beauty, brokenness, joy, and mystery.
